The original Balsamic Remora was recorded straight to DAT in 1997, and the recording ended prematurely when Opcode Vision crashed, taking the MIDI project with it. The 1997 version was recovered from cassette.

The 2017 version duplicates the main melodic and rhythmic elements, but never the same river twice.
